So, I still haven't drawn a damn thing in a long time and I really want to, but of course I like drumming more than drawing, so I guess drawing may still have to chill for a while. I'm finally playing in a band that I feel like I can brag about, and holy shit, it's a fuck load of fun. So far the turn out for my first two shows with Dexter Danger were moderate(I think about 30 people), but damn, the guys in the band are ALL great and the kids that were there were some of the most fun people to play for in my musical life.
From what I know Dexter Danger is really one of the biggest small bands in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have a CD that's Nationally distributed through Tower Records and they have already done a couple country tours. This is heavy stuff, so what I was kind of expecting at my first show with DD was like a 100 people, but 30 is cool too. I also had a lot of people I really care about come to the first show, so it was great to have them there. Basically I wanna say that even though the shows weren't huge like I dreamed, I had a lot of fun and I realized how much I love Aymen and Miguel's song writing. This band has a huge fan-base and a lot of glam around it, but I can honestly say that for me it's all about the music when it comes to Dexter Danger. I hope I keep working with these for as long as possible. This could be the coolest and most fun thing I'll ever do.
